Storyline: Dramatische Ereignisse stürzen die New Yorker Psychologin Dr.Anne Hecker in ein Chaos der Gefühle. Sie verliert die Distanz zu einer ihrer Patientinnen, deren Schilderungen ihrer sexuellen Erlebnisse Anne im Traum verfolgen. Eine leidenschaftliche Affäre setzt diesen Träumen ein Ende, doch für die Erfüllung ihrer geheimen Wünsche muß Anne einen schweren Preis bezahlen. Ohne es zu ahnen, hat sie ihrer Patientin den Geliebten weggenommen. Kurze Zeit später wird diese ermordet aufgefunden. Dr.Hecker hatte einen schrecklichen Verdacht.
